Karen Mulder returns to public eye after 20-year absence

Dutch supermodel Karen Mulder has reappeared in the public eye after approximately 20 years of absence. In a recent feature in German Vogue, the 57-year-old addressed the dark period that overshadowed her career during the 1990s.

Mulder spoke about allegations of abuse and the professional pressures she faced. She revisited an incident from 25 years ago when, at age 32, she attempted to discuss abuse, drugs, and career pressure during a French talk show, ‘Tout le monde en parle’. At the time, reports described her as having a breakdown, and the footage was never broadcast. Mulder now claims she was ‘locked away’ and ‘silenced’ during that period.
