Karen Spencer purchases £3.6m Northamptonshire mansion

Karen, Countess Spencer, has purchased a £3.6 million mansion in Northamptonshire, located approximately ten miles from the Althorp estate. The Canadian-born social entrepreneur reportedly used a portion of her divorce settlement from Earl Spencer to acquire the property.

The six-bedroom residence sits on 24 acres of parkland and landscaped gardens. Described as a Lutyens-inspired home built roughly 20 years ago, the estate features amenities including a heated swimming pool, a gym, an all-weather tennis court, and outdoor entertaining spaces.

The purchase follows the end of her 13-year marriage to Earl Spencer, which was confirmed in April 2024. After the separation, the Countess had been residing in a rental property while transitioning from her former home at Althorp.
