Kari Bravata alleges medication withholding and medical emergency during ‘The Swan’

Kari Bravata, a former cast member of the reality series ‘The Swan’, has shared details regarding medical complications and alleged misconduct during the show’s production. In recent interviews and the Hulu documentary ‘The Swan: Behind the Mirror’, Bravata described a life-threatening emergency following multiple plastic surgeries. She reported that she failed to wake up as expected after a breathing tube was removed, leading to low oxygen levels and fluid in her lungs. Following the incident, she required intensive monitoring and oxygen for several weeks.

Additionally, Bravata alleged that production staff intentionally withheld her antidepressant medication for two weeks. She believes this was done because she was not providing the dramatic reactions desired by producers. While Bravata had previously forgotten the incident, her mother recently reminded her of the situation, prompting her to recall that her requests for refills were allegedly ignored by the production team.
