Kari launches ‘Sons de Minas’ free tour in Minas Gerais

Singer and songwriter Karen Nascimento, now performing under the name Kari, has launched a new career phase with the free tour ‘Sons de Minas’. The musical project celebrates the cultural identity of Northern Minas Gerais.

The tour includes performances on September 18 in Montes Claros at the Museu Regional do Norte, September 25 in Serro at the Museu Regional do Serro, and October 10 in Grão Mogol at the Feira Gastronômica e Arte. Accompanied by M_Cas on guitar, Kari will present a minimalist repertoire of approximately 15 songs, including original compositions such as ‘Santos Orixás’ and ‘Até o amanhecer’. In addition to singing, the artist will perform percussion on instruments like the pandeiro, berimbau, and tambor.

Alongside the tour, Kari is producing the ‘A música de hoje’ festival on September 18 in Montes Claros. The event aims to provide visibility to independent original music from the Northern Minas region, featuring artists such as Edssada, Ray, and Agnes Brito.
