Karim Aïnouz announces ‘Rosebush Pruning’ starring Elle Fanning

Director Karim Aïnouz is working on a new film titled ‘Rosebush Pruning’, featuring an ambitious cast that includes Elle Fanning, Pamela Anderson, Callum Turner, Riley Keough, Jamie Bell, and Lukas Gage.

The project is a reimagining of Marco Bellocchio’s 1965 masterpiece ‘Les Poings dans les poches’, shifting the setting from Italy to Spain. The story explores the complex and unsettling connections within a wealthy, disturbed family. The screenplay is written by Efthýmis Filíppou, a frequent collaborator of Yórgos Lánthimos.
