Karimnagar achieves 100% real-time feeder monitoring integration

The Telangana Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGNPDCL) has achieved 100% completion of its Real-Time Feeder Monitoring System (RTFMS) in the Karimnagar circle. All 82 substations in the region have been successfully integrated with the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.

According to TGNPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Karnati Varun Reddy, the system allows for live surveillance and centralized real-time monitoring of power supply conditions and feeder loads. The technology is designed to identify power interruptions, overloading, and voltage fluctuations immediately, providing automated alerts to field personnel to facilitate faster response times and proactive maintenance.

To date, 1,005 substations across the TGNPDCL network have been integrated. The company expects the Hanamkonda, Khammam, and Komaram Bheem Asifabad circles to reach full integration soon, with the remaining 419 substations scheduled for completion within the next two months.
