Karin Asra Gürel wins Georg Lurich Wrestling Tournament

Thirteen-year-old wrestler Karin Asra Gürel, representing Atakum Belediyespor, secured the gold medal in the U17 girls' 49 kg category at the Georg Lurich Wrestling Tournament held in Rakvere, Estonia.

During the competition, which featured participants from 27 countries, Gürel demonstrated dominant technical skill by not allowing her opponents to score any points. She concluded her matches with a total score of 34-0, defeating Estonian opponent Emily Vislapu in the final match.

Atakum Mayor Serhat Türkel praised the young athlete's performance, noting her potential as a significant figure in Turkish women's wrestling. Türkel extended congratulations to Gürel, her family, the technical team, and Atakum Belediyespor Club President Erol Giritli.
