Karl Marius Aksum appointed head coach of Kolding IF

Karl Marius Aksum Kolding IF Danish football Mjällby AIF head coach appointment

Norwegian football coach Karl Marius Aksum has been appointed as the new head coach of the Danish club Kolding IF. Aksum, 36, succeeds Jonas Kamper, who was dismissed following a poor start to the season.

Aksum previously served as an assistant coach at Mjällby AIF during their Allsvenskan title win and later took over as head coach. He is scheduled to begin his new role on October 11. Reports indicate that Aksum has signed a contract with Kolding IF that runs until the summer of 2029.

Aksum stated that he chose Kolding over offers from larger clubs because of the alignment between his coaching methodology and the club's vision. He expressed confidence in the potential of both the club and the city.
