Karl Rove warns of rising bigotry within Republican Party

In a recent column for The Wall Street Journal, Fox News contributor and former White House strategist Karl Rove warned of rising racism and antisemitism within the Republican Party. Rove stated he intends to vote for a Democrat rather than support Republican nominee Bo French for the Texas Railroad Commission, citing French’s “raw, uncut bigotry” in social media posts regarding University of Texas students.

Rove expanded his critique beyond the Texas race, suggesting the GOP contains an increasing number of advocates for a “heritage America” focused on white descendants of European settlers. He identified various problematic trends within the party, including antisemitism, misogyny, and religious bigotry.

While competitors such as CNN and MSNBC have covered Rove’s warnings, reports indicate that Fox News has not mentioned the column on its airwaves since its publication.
