Karl Wilfing recovering after cycling accident and heart attack

Karl Wilfing, the President of the Lower Austrian State Parliament, is recovering following a cycling accident and subsequent heart attack. The incident occurred while Wilfing was traveling on the Thayatal cycling route.

Wilfing's sisters, Annemarie and Christl, provided critical first aid before emergency services arrived. He was transported via rescue helicopter to the University Hospital St. Pölten, where he received intensive treatment. Following successful medical intervention, he has been moved to a regular hospital room and is currently on the path to recovery.
