Karla Rubilar criticizes Kast government over termination of Yo Elijo Mi PC

Former Minister of Social Development and Family, Karla Rubilar, has publicly criticized the government of President José Antonio Kast regarding the decision to terminate the ‘Yo Elijo Mi PC’ program.

Rubilar, using her X account, demanded that the administration provide the technical documentation used to justify the program's closure. She warned that eliminating the benefit without providing an alternative to address the digital divide would constitute a “step backward.”

Furthermore, Rubilar pointed to a potential contradiction with the administration's campaign promises, which included a commitment not to reduce social benefits. She called on Congress to review the decision and urged the President to uphold his word regarding social protection.
