Karlis Reisulis claims eighth place at MXGP of Türkiye

Karlis Reisulis of the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team secured an eighth-place overall finish at the 17th round of the FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship in Afyonkarahisar, Türkiye. Despite reporting that he was struggling to find his usual form, the Latvian rider achieved consistent results with a 9-7 finish in the two races.

His teammate and brother, Janis Reisulis, finished 14th overall. Janis showed strong pace in the first Grand Prix race, moving up to sixth place, but a fall during the second race resulted in a broken clutch lever, preventing him from restarting without assistance.

Following the event in Türkiye, the team will travel to Shanghai for the penultimate round of the championship, the MXGP of China, scheduled for September 12-13.
