Lela Vémola has faced a wave of online harassment and insults regarding her physical appearance following a promotional video for sports eyewear on Instagram. The video, which featured her exercising and running, prompted users to post derogatory comments about her appearance and cosmetic procedures, leading her to disable comments on the post.

Karlos Vémola, her former partner, publicly defended her against the attacks. Despite the couple currently navigating a complex separation involving legal disputes over alimony and child custody, Karlos stated that personal relationship issues do not justify the public humiliation of a woman and the mother of his children. He urged followers to cease the attacks, noting that such comments are offensive to him as well.
