Karlovac and Zadar mountain guide stations hold joint safety training

The Karlovac Mountain Guide Station organized a joint exercise with the Zadar Mountain Guide Station to improve guide competencies and cooperation. Participants received a lecture and practical workshop from the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service on risk identification, decision‑making, communication and group management in mountainous terrain. The program included scenario analysis and hands‑on drills, followed by a rafting session on the Mrežnica River to further exchange experience.

The event was financially supported by the City of Karlovac and used facilities provided by the HPD Vinica Duga Resa. Organisers highlighted the importance of continuous professional development for guides and the strengthened partnership with the rescue service, aiming to enhance safety for hikers and promote Karlovac’s natural tourism potential.
