Karlovac: Illegal fencing reported on public flood protection wall
In the Drežnik district of Karlovac, individuals have allegedly illegally fenced off public land adjacent to a flood protection wall on Splitska Street. The area, approximately six meters wide, is designated as a public water good owned by the Republic of Croatia and managed by Hrvatske vode. It is intended to serve as an access route during floods and other emergencies.
Hrvatske vode reported that they did not grant any consent for the installation of iron fences or for any drilling into the protective wall's structure. The agency has reported the matter to the water management inspection following the discovery of these unauthorized actions.
