Karls Erlebnis-Dorf expands internationally despite US construction setbacks

Karls Erlebnis-Dorf, the expanding strawberry-themed leisure park empire, is pursuing international growth despite setbacks in its US expansion. While the company has established a strong presence in Germany, including a new location in Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia, owner Robert Dahl has announced plans to expand to Mallorca, Spain, and the United States.

The US expansion in Oxnard, California, has faced significant structural challenges. Dahl reported via Instagram that all original buildings on the site had to be demolished because they were destroyed by termites. Despite the need to restart the construction process from scratch, the company intends to proceed with creating an authentic and creative park on the West Coast.

In Germany, the newly opened Oberhausen location has already become a major attraction. Visitors to the parks are reminded that entry is free, though certain attractions require payment, and most locations operate on a cashless basis, accepting only EC cards or pre-loaded payment cards.
