Robert Dahl, founder of Karls Erlebnis-Dorf, has addressed criticism regarding the ‘Klomann’, a mechanical animatronic figure located in the restrooms of several theme park locations, including Rövershagen, Zirkow, and Oberhausen.

Some parents have expressed concerns that the figure’s appearance—characterized by grey hair and a sunken face—is too scary or ‘unacceptable’ for young children. Dahl also dismissed online rumors suggesting the character was modeled after Karl Dahl, stating it is a fantasy creation from a supplier rather than a real person.

The ‘Klomann’ has been a long-standing attraction within the Erlebnis-Dorf locations, designed to surprise visitors with various phrases and actions.
