Europe urged to cease trade with Russia
An editorial argues that Ukraine’s deep‑range attacks on Russian targets are weakening the Russian economy and that Europe must respond by ending trade with Russia. It stresses that a true “exhaustion war” requires not only military pressure but also economic, social and political strain on Moscow. The piece criticises the latest EU sanction package – the price‑cap on Russian oil fixed at $44.10 per barrel – as insufficient, calling for tougher measures to raise the political cost of Russia’s war. The author urges European leaders to adopt stricter sanctions and to halt all commercial dealings with Russia to accelerate the end of the conflict.
