Karmine Corp won the VCT EMEA Finals in Badalona, Spain, defeating Team Liquid 3-1 to secure a spot in Shanghai. The tournament, which saw over 8,000 tickets sold, marked the first time the VALORANT Champions Tour has been held outside of Berlin.

Jon Tilbury, product lead for VCT EMEA at Riot Games, noted that the move to an itinerant event model aims to engage diverse communities across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey. He highlighted Barcelona's strong fan culture as a key reason for selecting the location. The event is described as part of a transitional year for the competitive scene, with significant structural changes expected in the coming year.
