Karnataka BJP alleges Minister Nagendra blackmailed Congress leadership

Karnataka BJP President B. Y. Vijayendra has leveled serious allegations against Minister B. Nagendra, claiming the minister blackmailed the Congress high command. Vijayendra questioned Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar’s decision to include Nagendra in the Cabinet despite a multi-crore corruption investigation involving the Tribal Welfare Corporation. While the Criminal Investigation Department has cleared Nagendra, the Enforcement Directorate is continuing its investigation.

Separately, Vijayendra addressed the BJP’s stance on the Bidadi farmers' protest. He clarified that there is no confusion between the BJP and JD(S) regarding the protection of farmers' land and interests. Although the BJP is providing symbolic support to the JD(S)-led padayatra due to scheduling conflicts, Vijayendra asserted that the party remains committed to fighting for farmers both through public demonstrations and within the legislature.
