Karnataka BJP claims Congress ministers willing to defect
Karnataka BJP President and MLA B. Y. Vijayendra has accused the Congress party of attempting to create ‘anarchy’ and confusion across the country. Vijayendra alleged that the Congress is frustrated and claimed that if Assembly elections were held immediately, approximately 25 Congress MLAs, including members of Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar’s cabinet, would defect to the BJP.
In response to these claims, Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar challenged Vijayendra to immediately welcome the Congress MLAs who are supposedly willing to join the BJP. Shivakumar also countered by questioning the identity of legislators who previously voted for the Congress nominee in Legislative Council polls, suggesting that some NDA-led legislators had supported the Congress due to unfavorable conditions within their own ranks.
