Karnataka BJP state president BY Vijayendra said four BJP MLAs crossed‑voted in the June 18 Legislative Council elections, prompting the party to set up a three‑member fact‑finding committee headed by CT Ravi. The committee, which also includes N Mahesh and Mahesh Tenginakayi, is tasked with investigating the alleged cross‑voting by BJP and JD(S) legislators and must submit its findings by June 25. Vijayendra announced he will travel to Delhi the following week to brief senior party leadership on the issue. The BJP’s internal inquiry follows reports that the party secured only two of the seven seats despite having 64 MLAs, while the Congress won five seats with 135 MLAs, indicating discrepancies in vote tallies.
