Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar Holds Landmark Delhi Meeting with MPs

On July 26, Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar gathered more than 70 Karnataka MPs in Delhi. Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi, Shobha Karandlaje, Jagadish Shettar, V. Somanna and Basavaraj Bommai, along with Rajya Sabha member Sudha Murty, praised the gathering as a “huge success” and a first of its kind. The meeting was presented as a unified front to press the Centre for pending projects, release of central funds and drought‑relief assistance for Karnataka.

A newly released biography charts Shivakumar’s rise to the chief‑ministership, emphasizing his focus on political will, rapid infrastructure development and balanced attention to urban, industrial and rural concerns. The book highlights his tenure as Minister of Major Irrigation, his push for economic growth in Bengaluru and the broader state, and his vision of transforming Karnataka into a global powerhouse.
