The directive replaces biometric attendance with an AI‑ and GPS‑based system accessed through the “Karyatva” app, requiring daily check‑in/check‑out and automatically forwarding non‑compliance reports to departmental heads.

Within days of forming his cabinet, senior minister Ramalinga Reddy submitted his resignation, saying the promised funding for the Bengaluru city‑development portfolio was not provided. Local commentator City Ravi said the resignation reflects internal problems in the new administration.
