Karnataka CM Shivakumar to review public park land use proposal
Karnataka Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar has announced a detailed review of a proposal to allow the use of five per cent of land in public parks. The review will examine the motivations behind the proposal, decisions made by previous governments, and the specific plots and individuals to whom land was allotted.
Shivakumar stated that the administration will investigate land use in Lalbagh for the Metro project and other allotments in Bengaluru. He emphasized that decisions would be made in the public interest and expressed openness to suggestions from the public and the Opposition.
In a separate event in Bengaluru, the Chief Minister attended a Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) programme to distribute allotment letters to landowners of the Dr. K. Shivarama Karanth Layout.
