Karnataka Congress MLA Harish Gowda challenges former BJP MP Pratap Simha
Congress MLA K. Harish Gowda issued an open electoral challenge to former BJP MP Pratap Simha from the Chamundi Hills, inviting him to contest against him in either the Sakleshpur or Chamaraja Assembly constituencies in the upcoming Karnataka elections. Gowda said, “Sakleshpur is Pratap Simha’s native place. If he has confidence, he should contest from there. If he is not willing to do so, he can contest from Chamaraja constituency. I am ready to face him in either constituency.”
In response, Simha reiterated his intention to run in the 2028 Karnataka Assembly polls from the Chamaraja constituency, accusing Gowda of personal attacks and labeling him an “outsider.” Simha warned that he would expose any misinformation and defended his record, noting development projects he had undertaken in Chamaraja and his past electoral mandates.
