Karnataka MLA Bharat Shetty calls for crackdown on illegal Bangladeshi nationals detained in Mukka

Illegal Bangladeshi nationals posing as daily‑wage laborers were arrested in Mukka, near Surathkal in Karnataka. Authorities say the detainees obtained fraudulent Aadhaar cards to conceal their identity.

Mangalore City North MLA Dr. Y. Bharat Shetty warned that the infiltration poses a serious security threat to the coastal region. He urged the state government to cooperate with the centre to deport the illegal immigrants swiftly, demanded a probe into the network that supplied false documents, and criticised the Home Department for focusing on unrelated issues instead of safeguarding national security.
