Karnataka police seize ₹30.43 cr of narcotics and arrest eight people

Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge said Bengaluru city police dismantled an inter‑state drug‑trafficking network, confiscating drugs valued at ₹30.43 crore (approximately ₹60.86 crore on the open market). The operation across five cases yielded 29 kg of MDMA, 20 g of cocaine and 1,000 ecstasy tablets, and led to the arrest of eight suspects, including one foreign national.

Earlier related raids had seized 17.28 kg of MDMA worth ₹17.28 crore, another operation recovered 6.72 kg of MDMA and 20 g of cocaine worth ₹7.15 crore, and a separate case uncovered 5 kg of MDMA and 1,000 ecstasy tablets valued at ₹6 crore. Kharge reiterated the state’s zero‑tolerance policy toward drug production, transport, sale or use and urged the public, especially parents and schools, to report suspicious activity.

Police investigations continue to trace the supply chain and financial networks behind the syndicate.
