Separately, a fatal road accident occurred near Veerananjipura in the Nelamangala taluk. A 23-year-old woman from Kerala, identified as Alina, died after a lorry allegedly rammed into a motorcycle she was riding with a friend. The pair were returning to Bengaluru after a trekking trip to Devarayanadurga. The driver of the lorry fled the scene, and local police have registered a case and are searching for the vehicle and the driver.
