Karnataka protesters demand reinstallation of Siddaramaiah statue

Protesters in Karnataka held a march in Vijayapura to demand the reinstallation of a statue of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Kalaburagi. Demonstrators are calling for authorities to return the statue to the original circle named after him and are seeking strict action against the civic officials responsible for its removal.

Congress leader Hamid Mushrif and Ahinda leader Somanath Kallimani addressed the gathering, describing the removal as a blunder that hurt the sentiments of supporters. Kallimani warned that if the statue is not reinstalled at the same location, supporters will launch a massive padayatra from Vijayapura to Kalaburagi.
