Karnataka Public Service Commission Announces 2026 KAS Exam and Vacancy Details

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) issued the Gazetted Probationers notification for the Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) 2026 recruitment on 31 July 2026. The notification lists 319 vacancies – 117 Group A and 202 Group B posts – and outlines a three‑stage selection process: an objective Preliminary examination (two papers, 200 questions, tentative date 15 November 2026), a descriptive Main examination (seven papers, total 1,250 marks), and a Personality Test interview (25 marks).

To support aspirants, the training provider Mission TEJAS launched a KAS Prelims crash‑course beginning 10 August 2026. The 2½‑month programme, offered both online and offline, includes systematic coverage of the KAS syllabus, Karnataka‑specific subjects, current‑affairs updates, and 21 practice tests. It is run by Insights IAS and Insta KAS and aims to help candidates revise, identify weak areas, and improve exam performance before the scheduled prelims.
