Karol Borys returns to Śląsk Wrocław from KVC Westerlo

Karol Borys has returned to Śląsk Wrocław, signing a contract that runs until June 30, 2029. The 19-year-old midfielder joined the club on a free transfer from the Belgian side KVC Westerlo on transfer deadline day.

Borys, a product of the Śląsk Wrocław academy who joined at age seven, previously played 11 official matches for the first team before moving to Belgium in early 2024. During his time abroad, he also spent time on loan at NK Maribor in Slovenia, where he gained senior experience in 32 matches.

The move comes at a critical time for Śląsk Wrocław, as the team recently lost captain Piotr Samiec-Talar to a broken wrist, which is expected to sideline him for several weeks. The club sought a replacement to fill the gap in the midfield roster.
