Karol G discusses Spanish collaboration with Drake

Colombian singer Karol G has shared details regarding her collaboration with Canadian rapper Drake on the track ‘Ahí’, featured on her album ‘No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto’. During an interview on The New York Times’ Popcast, Karol G described the recording process as a fun and collaborative experience where she acted as a pronunciation instructor for the rapper.

According to the artist, Drake initially questioned whether he should record his verse in English. Karol G encouraged him to stick to Spanish, noting that he sounded very good in the language. Drake reportedly requested her assistance to ensure his delivery was perfect, leading to a line-by-line phonetic coaching session in the studio.

The collaboration has seen commercial success, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and number 44 on the Billboard Hot 100.
