Karol G faces criticism from PETA Latino over feather use in tour costumes

PETA Latino has publicly questioned Colombian singer Karol G regarding the alleged use of real feathers in her costumes during the ‘Viajando por el Mundo TropiTour’ tour. The animal rights organization shared a photo of the artist wearing a pink feather headdress on social media, stating, ‘Karol G, you are a ‘Bichota’, you don’t need anyone’s feathers to prove it.’

While PETA Latino acknowledged the singer's influence within the Latin American community, they argued that using animals as fashion accessories contradicts her image. This follows a previous controversy in July 2024 in Madrid, where a garment designed by Palomo Spain reportedly featured 30 meters of ostrich feathers.

In response to the current allegations, designers responsible for the new tour's wardrobe have stated that the garments were created without using materials that involve animal cruelty, according to reports from ¡HOLA! magazine.
