Karol G launches TropiTour with sold‑out Chicago shows
Colombian reggaetón star Karol G kicked off her "Viajando Por El Mundo TropiTour" with two consecutive concerts at Soldier Field in Chicago, drawing between 60,000 and 90,000 fans each night. The production, built on the visual concept of her "Tropicoqueta" universe, featured a large macaw sculpture, an indoor pool stage, mariachi arrangements, fireworks and a 90‑minute set of more than 30 songs. Highlights included the live debut of the new single "Matadora" and guest appearances by Elena Rose and Becky G. Mid‑show, a technical glitch temporarily halted the show; Karol G improvised an a‑capella sing‑along to keep the audience engaged while crews resolved the issue. During the opening night she paused the performance after noticing a couple’s wedding banner, announced that she would fund their honeymoon trip to Paris and give them VIP tickets for her Paris show in 2027. The kickoff has set the stage for a multi‑continent tour that will visit more than 60 cities across North America, Latin America and Europe through 2027.
