Karol Linetty trains with Lech Poznań while looking for a new club
Polish midfielder Karol Linetty, a former Poland international, terminated his contract with Turkish side Kocaelispor by mutual agreement and received a settlement of roughly €200,000. After the split, Lech Poznań invited the 31‑year‑old to train with its first team to keep up his fitness while he searches for a new employer.
Lech’s coaching staff, led by Niels Frederiksen, will assess Linetty’s condition during the sessions. No formal offer has been announced, and the club has not indicated that a new contract is imminent, but the training arrangement gives both parties the opportunity to evaluate a possible signing.
The arrangement was confirmed by TVP Sport journalist Maksymilian Dyśko, who noted that Linetty remains a free agent and that the club’s decision simply provides him with training facilities until he secures a new contract.
