Karol Nawrocki explores right-wing alliance including Grzegorz Braun

Karol Nawrocki is reportedly exploring the formation of a broad right-wing electoral alliance intended to consolidate votes for the Senate. This potential pact would involve Law and Justice (PiS), Confederation, Rozwój Plus, and Grzegorz Braun’s Konfederacja Korony Polskiej.

Nawrocki has acknowledged Konfederacja Korony Polskiej as a political force with parliamentary representation and polling support that must be recognized in the current political landscape. The goal of the proposed agreement is to field a single right-wing candidate in each Senate district to prevent vote splitting.

The prospect of including Braun has caused friction within Law and Justice. Some PiS politicians have expressed concern, stating they seek Braun’s voters rather than the politician himself, due to his controversial history of antisemitic remarks and his public denial of the existence of gas chambers at Auschwitz-Birkenau. While negotiations are ongoing, a formal coalition has not yet been established.
