Karol Nawrocki marks first anniversary of Polish presidency

Karol Nawrocki marked the first anniversary of his inauguration as President of Poland with a commemorative event at the Presidential Palace. He emphasized that the nation's future and prosperity are determined in the daily lives of citizens and small businesses, asserting that the people are the sovereign power in the Republic of Poland.

Public reaction to the scale of the anniversary celebrations appears divided; a poll conducted by SW Research for Wprost indicated that 44.3% of respondents disagreed that the level of celebration was appropriate for the occasion, while 32.6% supported it.

Eldo, who performed his song ‘Nie pytaj o nią’ at the palace, noted the personal significance of the date, as August 6 also marks the anniversary of his mother's death. He reflected on his career and his role as part of the first generation of hip-hop culture in Poland.
