President Karol Nawrocki has referred the 'lex szarlatan' bill to the Constitutional Tribunal. The referral stems from doubts regarding the implementation of penalties and blocks before a final court ruling is reached.

The decision has sparked intense political debate. Zbigniew Konwiński of Koalicja Obywatelska criticized the move, suggesting the President acted in the political interest of the right wing rather than public safety. Konwiński warned that the decision could lead to people relying on unverified paramedical methods instead of evidence-based medicine, stating that those who influenced the President 'will have the blood of that person on their hands' if they die due to such practices.

In response, Jakub Banaszek, an advisor to Nawrocki, rejected these accusations. He emphasized that the Presidential Palace does not dispute the necessity of fighting practices that discourage patients from effective medical treatment, though the legal framework must be correctly constructed.
