Karol Zalewski retires at Zbigniew Ludwichowski Memorial

The sixth Zbigniew Ludwichowski Memorial took place in Olsztyn, part of the World Athletics Continental Tour – Bronze. The event featured significant achievements and milestones in Polish athletics.

Jakub Szymański recorded a historic time in the 110m hurdles, though the result will not be officially recognized as a record due to excessive wind speeds. Additionally, Olympic champion Karol Zalewski officially announced his retirement from professional athletics during the event.

The memorial honors the legendary coach Zbigniew Ludwichowski, who trained numerous champions, including Wanda Panfil and Aleksandra Lisowska.
