Peruvian content creator Karolina Karley faced unexpected tension during a toy distribution event in the San Juan de Lurigancho district of Lima. Organized to celebrate Children's Day, the initiative aimed to provide gifts to children from low-income families.

The event became a subject of social media debate after a young girl rejected a mermaid doll provided by Karley, demanding a larger doll seen in a different box. Despite the child's crying and pressure from onlookers to yield, Karley maintained that “the gifts should not be chosen,” emphasizing the intent of the donation.

To resolve the conflict and continue the distribution, Karley eventually showed the child a larger toy, though the interaction resulted in a series of unexpected reactions from the minor and confrontations with some parents regarding child upbringing.
