Karolina Korwin-Piotrowska criticizes ‘Girls of Warsaw’ series
Journalist Karolina Korwin-Piotrowska has issued a harsh critique of the new Prime Video documentary series ‘Girls of Warsaw’. The six-episode program follows the daily lives of four prominent Polish influencers: Jessica Mercedes, Klaudia Sadownik, Angelika Trochonowicz (Andziaks), and Ola Nowak.
In her podcast ‘Pierwsza Młodość’, Korwin-Piotrowska criticized the production for being artificial and disconnected from reality. She noted a lack of humor and authenticity, describing the environment as one filled with ‘artificial smiles’ and ‘artificial teeth’. She further remarked that the show lacks the real-world struggles found in everyday life, such as inflation or rising fuel prices.
The journalist also targeted the participants' attitudes and the underlying messages of the series. She described the women as being ‘mentally old’ and likened them to ‘aunts’ who offer unsolicited advice. Additionally, she criticized the show for portraying motherhood and marriage as the ‘Holy Grail’ for women, suggesting the series promotes a narrow view of female value.
