Karolina Pliskova withdraws from Asian swing to end season

Tennis player Karolina Pliskova has announced her withdrawal from the upcoming Asian swing, effectively ending her competitive season. The former WTA world number one cited the need for physical recovery, stating on Instagram that while her issues are not serious, her body requires time to heal properly after the physical demands of recent months.

Pliskova has seen a significant rise in her ranking this year, moving from No. 1054 at the start of the season to No. 51. Her notable performances include reaching the quarterfinals of the Madrid Open and the semifinals of the Nottingham Open. Despite her withdrawal from the final tournaments in Asia, she expressed hope to return to competition soon.
