Karoline Edtstadler tours Hagleitner factory in Zell am See

On 29 July 2026 Salzburg’s governor, Karoline Edtstadler, visited the hygiene‑product manufacturer Hagleitner in Zell am See, Austria. The visit was part of a new series called “Landeshauptfrau mittendrin”, documented in a short social‑media video. Edtstadler received a brief training and then worked on the assembly line, joining components, mixing disinfectant and helping at the filling station.

During the tour she highlighted the company’s role as a regional innovation driver, noting its sustainable growth, creation of high‑quality jobs and contribution to the Salzburg economy. Hagleitner, now run by third‑generation owners Katharina and Stefanie Hagleitner, employs about 1 300 people, generated €171 million in revenue for the 2025‑2026 fiscal year and exports 46 % of its output to 66 countries worldwide.
