Karolis Čekauskas appointed General Manager of Philip Morris Baltic

Karolis Čekauskas has been appointed as the new General Manager of Philip Morris Baltic. A veteran of the company with 15 years of experience across Europe and the Baltics, Čekauskas succeeds Yigit Dizdar, who has moved to lead Philip Morris International operations in Poland.

Čekauskas identified several key challenges for the region, including the growth of the illicit market and issues regarding youth access to products. He emphasized the importance of science-based decisions and strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors to combat the shadow market.

The company continues to focus on its transformation toward smoke-free products, investing in science-based alternatives to traditional cigarettes. The manufacturing plant in Klaipėda remains a critical economic and investment hub for the company in Lithuania.
