Karolína Maňasová misses 100m final at European Championships

Czech sprinter Karolína Maňasová failed to reach the 100m final at the European Athletics Championships. The 22-year-old national record holder has been struggling with bursitis, an inflammation of the heel, for the past three weeks.

Maňasová noted that while the injury did not force her to stop training entirely, it limited the quality of her explosive start drills and required significant energy to be diverted toward physiotherapy and recovery. She expressed disappointment that she could not replicate her peak performance during the most critical moments of the competition, mirroring a similar pattern seen during the indoor season.
