Karpathos to receive direct flights from Denmark's Aarhus starting summer 2027

The Greek island of Karpathos will be added to the Travelheart Family programme with a scheduled direct service from Aarhus, Denmark, beginning in the summer of 2027. The route will be operated by Århus Charter and announced by Travelheart Family CEO Peter Jørgensen on 24 June 2026.

The connection follows a multi‑year effort that began in August 2025, involving the Karpathos municipality, the EOT Scandinavia office and a series of meetings at travel fairs in Stockholm and Berlin. Local partner Karpathos Travel will act as the destination‑management company to organise the new tourist product for the high‑spending Scandinavian market, aiming to increase visitor numbers and boost the island’s tourism sector.
