Karpenisi to launch new hotel management apprenticeship program
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has announced the creation of a new ‘Hotel Management’ vocational specialty in Karpenisi for the 2026-2027 school year. The program, managed by DYPA, will offer 25 apprenticeship positions with monthly stipends of up to 588 euros.
The initiative aims to align vocational training with the specific economic needs of the Evrytania region, specifically focusing on mountain tourism. By providing professional skills, the program seeks to encourage young people to remain in their local communities while supporting local businesses.
The Region of Central Greece is responsible for providing the necessary building infrastructure and equipment, while DYPA will oversee the school's operation, educational processes, staff, and apprenticeship placements. Students will gain practical experience through hands-on training within the local tourism sector.
