Karpfhamer Fest to host 400,000 visitors in Bad Griesbach

The Karpfhamer Fest, the third-largest folk festival in Bavaria, is scheduled to take place from August 27 to September 1 in the Bad Griesbach area. The event is expected to attract approximately 400,000 visitors from Bavaria, Germany, and neighboring countries.

Beyond traditional festivities such as beer tents, rides, and music, the event features the Rottalschau, one of Germany’s most significant agricultural and trade shows. Spanning roughly 70,000 square meters, the exhibition showcases technology, forestry, agriculture, and various commercial sectors.

Traditional highlights include the Rottaler Zehnerzug, a festival parade, a band concert, and a political afternoon. The festival also serves as a platform to promote Bad Griesbach’s status as a recognized thermal and air spa resort, known for its wellness offerings and thermal mineral water.
