Kars police block illegal betting accounts and websites

The Kars Provincial Police Department's Cyber Crimes Branch has conducted operations against illegal betting advertisements discovered through virtual patrol activities. Following investigations into digital content promoting unlawful gambling, authorities identified several social media accounts and websites facilitating access to these services.

As a result of these efforts, a Kars Criminal Court of Peace issued a decision to block access to 19 Instagram accounts and one website found to be promoting illegal betting. The police department stated that these virtual patrol operations are conducted 24/7 under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security to combat the spread of illegal gambling and betting through social media platforms.
